Translation Quality Assurance

**Job Summary**:
As a **Quality Assurance Specialist**, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our language services meet the highest standards of quality. You will collaborate closely with project managers, translators, and other stakeholders to maintain and improve the quality of our deliverables. Your focus will be on reviewing translations, testing linguistic accuracy, and ensuring that client expectations are met in every project.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Quality Review**: Conduct in-depth reviews of translated content for accuracy, grammar, consistency, and adherence to project requirements and client specifications.
- **Linguistic Testing**: Perform linguistic QA testing on translations, including checking for cultural appropriateness, formatting, and adherence to style guides.
- **Error Identification & Reporting**: Identify and document errors or issues related to translations, formatting, or linguistic style. Communicate these issues clearly to project teams for resolution.
- **Process Improvement**: Work closely with the project management team to improve internal workflows, quality standards, and best practices for linguistic quality assurance.
- **Client Interaction**: Occasionally review client feedback and make adjustments to ensure the highest satisfaction levels. Provide feedback to translators to enhance the quality of future projects.
- **Tool Proficiency**: Use and manage translation tools (e.g., CAT tools, quality assurance software) to ensure accuracy and efficiency in the QA process.
- **Collaboration**: Collaborate with translation teams, project managers, and vendors to ensure seamless project execution and meet deadlines without compromising quality.

**Requirements**:

- **Experience**: 3-5 years of experience in quality assurance, preferably in the language services or translation industry.
- **Education**: Bachelor’s degree in Linguistics, Translation, Communications, or a related field is preferred.
- **Linguistic Expertise**: Proficiency in [languages relevant to your company], with a strong understanding of grammar, syntax, and cultural nuances.
- **Attention to Detail**: Strong attention to detail, with the ability to spot errors and inconsistencies in translations and documentation.
- **Technical Skills**: Experience with CAT tools (e.g., SDL Trados, MemoQ, Wordfast), quality assurance software, and familiarity with various file formats.
- **Communication Skills**: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to provide constructive feedback and collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
- **Problem Solving**: Ability to troubleshoot issues, propose solutions, and ensure timely resolution of quality concerns.
- **Time Management**: Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

**Preferred Skills**:

- Knowledge of localization and translation workflows.
- Experience working with international teams.
- Additional language skills would be an advantage.

Pay: ₹220,000.00 - ₹450,000.00 per year

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Vikhroli, Mumbai, Maharashtra: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (preferred)
