**Key Responsibilities of a DBA Manager**:

- **Team Leadership**: Lead and manage a team of database administrators, including responsibilities for hiring, training, and performance management.
- **Policy Development**: Develop and implement database policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure optimal performance, security, and compliance.
- **Performance Monitoring**: Monitor and analyze database performance metrics, identifying and addressing issues or bottlenecks to maintain high efficiency.
- **Collaboration**: Work closely with IT and business stakeholders to understand database requirements and devise solutions that meet those needs.
- **Upgrade Management**: Plan and oversee database upgrades, patches, and migrations to ensure smooth transitions and system improvements.
- **Data Security**: Implement and enforce data integrity and security measures, including access controls, encryption, and other security protocols.
- **Technical Support**: Troubleshoot and resolve database issues, providing support to the team in addressing technical problems.
