**Key Responsibilities**:

- Administer, maintain, tune, and troubleshoot PostgreSQL databases in production, staging, and development environments.
- Implement and manage high availability, backup/recovery, and disaster recovery solutions.
- Work with development and DevOps teams to optimize database queries and structures.
- Automate regular database maintenance tasks using scripting tools (Bash, Python, etc.).
- Design and implement data replication, partitioning, and sharding strategies.
- Perform database migrations and upgrades.
- Conduct database security audits and implement access controls.
- Create and maintain documentation for database configurations and procedures.
- Participate in on-call rotation for production support and maintenance.

**Required Skills & Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 7+ years of proven experience as a PostgreSQL DBA.
- Strong expertise in PostgreSQL versions 10 and above.
- Experience with logical and physical database design.
- Proficient in writing complex SQL queries, functions, and stored procedures.
- Deep understanding of indexing, query optimization, and performance tuning.
- Experience with backup tools like pgBackRest or Barman.
- Familiarity with replication (streaming, logical), partitioning, and clustering.
- Knowledge of cloud-based databases (AWS RDS, Azure Database for PostgreSQL, etc.).
- Scripting knowledge in Shell, Bash, or Python.
- Experience with tools like pgAdmin, psql, and monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana).
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- PostgreSQL certifications (e.g., EDB Certified PostgreSQL DBA).
- Experience with other databases (MySQL, Oracle, or NoSQL systems) is a plus.
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.

Pay: ₹600,000.00 - ₹1,100,000.00 per year
