**About the job**

**1.0 General Description**:

- As Design - Expert, the person Should have clear understanding on the different parameters for design & sizing of the plant as well as the performance guarantees to be provided.
- Should have profound knowledge on the major plant equipment (PV module, Inverter, Transformer, cables) and related to electrical grid.
- The person shall manage the entire design of PV plant up to grid connectivity (Max 33kV) including co-ordination of multi-discipline activities covering, Electrical, Civil/ Structural, MEP and others.
- The engineering activities shall cover the full cycle of works from pre-bid engineering to support during commissioning and warranty periods.
- Shall lead a team of Engineers and draftspersons to manage the Engineering activities within budget, deliver on time and maintaining a high quality of engineering.

**Technical Expertise**:
**Roles & Responsibilities - Design Expert**:

- Clear understanding on the different parameters for design & sizing of the project as well as the performance guarantees to be provided.
- Leveraging the parameters to arrive at the most optimum sizes of the Inverters, transformers, cable & HT panel, etc
- Designs for DC and AC system.
- Evaluation of PV modules and perform computer simulation (PVsyst) of solar PV generation (or) energy production for project life to optimize efficiency and meet the performance guarantee.
- Preparation of project design basis for DC, AC and Civil works
- Preparation of layout in Autocad and changes till final approval from client.
- Preparation of DC SLD with string formation and AC SLD
- Preparation of BoQ/BoM of the project.
- GTP review of equipment and correction according to tender (or) requirement
- Switch yard (11 or 33kV) complete electrical design.
- Visiting the site
- Calculation of AC earthing, DC earthing, Lighting Arrester, Aux transformer sizing, Auxiliary SLD, UPS/Battery Size calaculation, LT/HT cable sizing & selection with cable schedule.
- Shall have comprehensive knowledge on latest standards on design, testing and validations like IEC, BIS, IS, etc.
- Knowledge of utility grid interconnection standards, such as UL/IEEE standards, IS, European grid codes.

**Education & Experience Required**:

- B.Tech (Electrical)
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in Solar PV, Battery.

- Business Tools - proficiency with business tools like Outlook, Spreadsheets, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat, Word, MS Teams and others.
- Specific Software Tools - proficiency with simulation tools like PVsyst, ETAP (Optional), and Autocad/PSCAD, Sketchup/Helioscope, Lighting design tool.
