**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Menu Planning & Preparation**:

- Design and create innovative Continental dishes, from appetizers to desserts, using fresh, seasonal ingredients.
- Ensure all dishes are prepared according to restaurant standards and recipes.
- Develop new seasonal menus and modify existing dishes to meet customer preferences and dietary requirements.
- **Kitchen Management**:

- Supervise kitchen staff, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and safely.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, following all food safety and hygiene standards.
- Monitor food storage, handling, and inventory management to ensure quality and minimize waste.
- **Quality Control**:

- Taste and adjust seasoning or presentation to ensure the highest quality and flavor of all dishes.
- Ensure that all meals are served at the proper temperature and in accordance with health and safety standards.
- **Customer Interaction**:

- Engage with guests occasionally to gather feedback and ensure customer satisfaction with the food.
- Handle special dietary requests or preferences as needed.
- **Collaboration**:

- Work closely with other kitchen staff to ensure the smooth operation of the kitchen during service.
- Coordinate with the front-of-house team to ensure timely and accurate meal delivery.
- **Training & Development**:

- Mentor and train junior chefs and kitchen staff, providing guidance and leadership in culinary techniques.
- Assist in maintaining and improving the skills and performance of the kitchen team.
- **Inventory Control**:

- Order and manage stock of kitchen supplies, ensuring necessary ingredients are always available for the preparation of dishes.
- Monitor inventory levels, rotating stock to avoid waste and spoilage.
- **Health & Safety Compliance**:

- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in the kitchen, ensuring compliance with all local health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
- Adhere to safety guidelines for equipment usage and food preparation.

**Required Skills and Qualifications**:

- Proven experience as a **Continental Chef** or in a similar culinary role, ideally within a fine dining or upscale setting.
- In-depth knowledge of European (Continental) cuisine and cooking techniques.
- Strong leadership skills and experience managing a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to create, modify, and innovate menu items.
- Excellent palate, attention to detail, and high standards of food presentation.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.
- Ability to work under pressure while maintaining quality.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Culinary degree or equivalent certification.
- Previous experience working in a Michelin-starred or high-end restaurant.
- Knowledge of international cooking methods and diverse European cuisine.
- Experience in managing kitchen inventory and ordering supplies.

**Physical Requirements**:

- Ability to stand for long periods of time and work in a hot, fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs (kitchen supplies, ingredients, etc.).
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
