**Role description**:
**Position Summary**

This position will be within Marketing, Grant Thornton INDUS in the Market Intelligence Center of Excellence (MICOE) team, with the purpose of informing strategic marketing decisions that drive brand health, customer engagement, and revenue growth.

**Duties and Responsibilities**

Responsible for researching, analyzing, interpreting, and presenting market intelligence data related to markets, customers, competitors, economics, operations, and our own marketing performance - and translating into action.

**Specific responsibilities include**:

- Conduct market research and data analytics projects to gather intelligence to better understand the voice of our customers/target buyers (e.g., priorities, feelings, needs, preferences, behaviors).
- Gather competitive intelligence, analyze competitor landscape data, examine competitors' marketing, brand positioning, and ads, and make recommendations to improve our competitive advantage.
- Conduct both secondary and primary market research using both qualitative and quantitative data.
- Learn and leverage analytics tools and technology platforms to collect and analyze data (e.g., MS Excel, Power BI, SQL, Alteryx, Python, SimilarWeb).
- Aggregate and synthesize vast amounts of qualitative and quantitative data and translate into simple, digestible reports with executive summaries and actionable market insights.
- Develop polished PowerPoint presentations, tables, and charts to communicate data stories to both executive level stakeholders and the larger marketing organization.
- Support formulation of questions for focus groups and surveys and synthesize results into summaries and actions.

**Qualifications and Requirements**
- Master’s degree with 1 to 2 years of relevant work experience in market intelligence, market research, customer insight, competitive analysis, data analytics, and reporting
- Strong PowerPoint, executive level writing, and verbal communication skills.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
- Experience with data analytics tools, such as Microsoft Power BI, SQL, Alteryx, Python, or SimilarWeb is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and deadline oriented.
