Key Responsibilities:

- **Financial Control**:

- Monitor food and beverage costs against budget, identify variances, and implement cost-saving measures.
- Analyze sales data, identify trends, and optimize menu pricing.
- Manage inventory levels, minimize waste, and ensure timely replenishment.
- Prepare cost reports, sales analysis, and other financial reports as needed.
- **Food Quality & Suitability**:

- Regularly taste and evaluate menu items, ingredients, and beverages to ensure quality standards are met.
- Provide feedback on new menu items and recipe adjustments.
- Collaborate with chefs and kitchen staff to improve food preparation and presentation.
- Identify potential food allergens and ensure accurate labeling for safety and consumer information.
- **Inventory Management**:

- Supervise receiving clerks and ensure proper storage and handling of food and beverage items.
- Implement and maintain inventory control systems to track stock levels and minimize waste.
- Negotiate with suppliers to secure favorable pricing and delivery terms.
- **Other**:

- May be responsible for supervising staff, ensuring efficient operations, and implementing policies related to food safety and hygiene.
- Participate in training and development programs for staff, particularly in areas related to food preparation and quality.

Skills and Qualifications:

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Experience in cost control, inventory management, and food safety.
- Ability to analyze data and generate reports.
- Excellent taste and sensory evaluation skills, including the ability to identify food characteristics and potential issues.
