**SUMMARY**:
Northern Trust is looking for a **Associate** **Consultant **to join its Technology Development Centre in Pune, India in the Liquidity team. This individual as part of an Agile development team, will be responsible for analysis, design and development of Java, React, Database and shell script components that meet business and technical requirements.

**Major Duties**
- Design and develop Java, React and Database components based on documents that fit within technical framework as outlined by technical architects
- Ensure code meets standards and tested appropriate to the platform
- Provide technical guidance to the development team
- A team player with an ability to own the design and code as per requirement given.
- Communicate status (written and verbal) to project team and management

**Experience/ Skills**

Experience
- BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or Information Technology
- 3-5 years experienced Java, Spring Boot, SQL consultant who will be responsible for design and develop highly efficient, scalable and customizable reporting solutions using on premises and external sources.
- Experience in multi-tiered, complex system design & architecture

**Required Skills**:

- Knowledge of SDLC and Agile development practices
- Intermediate level knowledge of Core Java, Spring Boot, JPA’s and Hibernate.
- Intermediate level understanding of cloud infrastructure - on prem or public - Azure / PCF
- Intermediate in Implementing API driven Micro services
- Intermediate in implementing security best practices to API platform - Oauth/SAML, Encryptions, masking etc.
- Working level understanding of UI technologies like - Angular / React / Redux
- Experience in Asynch processing /Batch streaming to handle high volume data.
- Knowledge of scripting languages - Javascripts, Python, powershell etc.
- Knowledge of testing methodologies. Experience in Automate code releases and redundant tasks using Shell/Python scripting.
- Manage permissions, backup and performance across different databases like MySQL, MSSQL, Postgres etc
- Knowledge of SQL and related SQL procedure languages.
- Design, develop and use data structures and data marts to support reporting.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills
- Both _attention to detail_ & ability to _rise above details_ to see broader implications & recommend strategic solutions
- Self-starter; Positive & adaptable in a continually changing environment
- Ability to work independently and with a team
- Proven interpersonal and communication skills with technical & business partners

Preferred/ Recommended Skills:

- Familiarity with Banking/Financial domain
- Financial domain knowledge - Money markets.
- Work on Project involving migrating on Premise data to Cloud platform
- Worked on project streamlining the testing process by introducing automation, leveraging tools and setting goals to reduce time and effort.
