Our APIs and platform deal with over 150 billion engagements annually. Sinch, 2nd largest cPaaS and messaging provider in the world is looking for a Senior System Administrator at its Mumbai(India) location
The essence of the role

Support Data Center infrastructure operations by ensuring services availability as per SLA defined at Sinch India. As System Administrator, you will be a key part of our business IT Infrastructure team where you will be responsible for management of virtualized production environment distributed across multiple collocated on-prem data centres and Cloud. The role reports to Head of IT Infrastructure.

**As our new ROLE, you will**:

- Manage on premises Large Data Centre Infrastructure opeartions
- Install and configure software and hardware
- Manage network servers and technology tools
- Understanding of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, basic Linux Operating system,.
- Monitor performance and maintain systems according to requirements
- Troubleshoot issues and outages
- Ensure security through various tools
- Proactive Monitoring of IT Infra using tools like Manage Engine OpsManager, Vmware vRealise, etc,
- Upgrade windows/linux systems with new releases and models
- Develop expertise to train staff on new technologies
- Manage IT Infra Projects

Who are you?

**In order to contribute in this role you should have**:
- Proven experience as a System Administrator, Network Administrator or similar role
- Experience with servers, networks (LAN, WAN), vmware and patch management
- Knowledge of system security (e.g. intrusion detection systems) and data backup/recovery
- Familiarity with various operating systems and platforms
- Understanding of Scripts/batch files
- Resourcefulness and problem-solving aptitude
- Excellent communication skills
- Understanding of Data Center Operations
- Taking Ownership & accountability of assigned projects/tasks

Big plus

**You’ll stand out from the crowd if you have**:

- Understanding of Firewall / vmware environment / AWS
- Have worked in a Product based company
