Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly skilled and adaptable System Administrator to join our IT team. The System Administrator will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless operation of our IT infrastructure, providing technical support, and safeguarding the security of our systems and data. The ideal candidate should have a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide first-line technical support to end-users via phone, email, or in-person, resolving hardware, software, and network-related issues promptly and professionally.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware and software problems, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions.
  • Coordinate hardware upgrades and replacements as needed.
  • Document all support requests in a ticketing system, ensuring accurate and thorough records of user issues and resolutions.
  • Set up and manage network infrastructure, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
  • Monitor network performance, resolve connectivity issues, and implement security protocols.
  • Install, configure, and maintain server hardware and software.
  • Install, configure, and maintain Linux servers and workstations.
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights.
  • Apply hardening practices to enhance server security.
  • Configure and manage access controls and authentication methods.
  • Monitor server performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal performance.
  • Implement security measures to protect data and systems from threats.
  • Collaborate with other IT professionals and departments to address technology needs.
  • Communicate technical information effectively to non-technical staff.
  • Generate reports on system performance, security, and compliance.
  • Regular OS End Point Patch Management and update the compliance level.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • A bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field is often preferred, but some SysAdmins have equivalent experience and certifications
  • Relevant certifications can be beneficial, such as CCNA, RHCA, Microsoft Certified Administrator, or certifications related to specific hardware or software platforms
  • Proficiency in operating systems (e.g., Windows Server, Linux), networking protocols, and system administration tools is essential. Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Bash) can be valuable.
  • SysAdmins needs strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities to diagnose and resolve technical issues effectively.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and present findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
