Job Description

To support the Life Science range of products offered by the company within the territory of India.Maintain a professional and friendly relationship with staff and customers.Visit customer sites as required, and repair any company-supplied equipment in a diligent and professional manner.Apply working technical knowledge to perform simple or routine task in working on electronic equipment.Perform repairs to board level and run instrument performance test to ensure proper operation including customer samples.Perform all preventative maintenance necessary to sustain operation on all equipments.Make recommendations to customers, on proper upkeep of the equipmentAssist in the repair of in-house equipment (including demonstration units).Maintain adequate records of all service repairs, including parts used. Completes all paperwork pertaining to service call and immediately forwards to proper locations. Keeps in constant contact with service supervisor each day.Assist in the promotion and knowledge transfer of Service Contracts to our user base.Receives and acts on customer inquiries for service. Contact customer promptly after receiving information.Answers all customer questions to best of ability or puts customer in touch with someone who can.Responsible for making all travel arrangements while in the field. If delays are encountered contact customer and estimate time of arrival.Represent the company in a positive, professional manner.Assist in other duties as required, as part of a team effort.

The Successful Applicant

Qualifications

Eligible to work within IndiaEligible Driving Licence for India and documentation and ability to fly around India.Extensive traveling with engineering tools, parts and equipment is required.Formal education in Electronics/Electromechanical engineering. Two-year degree or equivalent.Technically competent using laboratory equipment is an advantage and an awareness of general laboratory safety is compulsory.Technical knowledge of Chemistry or Biochemistry is an advantage.Outgoing personality, determined, self-motivated and enthusiastic with a pro-active nature, able to work well in a team environment.Confident communication skills and an ability to devise and implement action-based plansMinimum 7 to 10 years work experience with knowledge of travel within India.Specific Product training will be provided continuously and formal training at least every two years. Eligible to travel to USA and UK wil therefore be required.
