Job Description

What you will do:

New Business Development of agri-commodities rice, spices, DDGS Conducting market research to identify trends, pricing fluctuations, and demand-supply dynamics in the agricultural commodities market Assessment of global opportunities Commercial negotiation & order finalization. Developing strategic relationship with stakeholders Negotiating contracts with suppliers, buyers, and intermediaries for the purchase and sale of agricultural commodities Monitoring performance in quality, cost & delivery Coordination with the logistics and finance team & ensuring smooth operations Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, trade laws, and industry standards governing the trade of agricultural commodities.

This is not solely based on whether a candidate has previously done similar work. We’re looking for someone dynamic with the below qualities in generous quantities to perform well in this role –

Previous experience with International business / Exports in a company with a sizeable business (> 100cr business per annum) Prior experience in working in markets of Middle East, Africa & South East Asia In-depth knowledge of Rice (basmati and non- basmati) as a commodity & international market Proficient knowledge of MS Office, especially MS PowerPoint & MS Excel Preferred relevant experience of 5-7 years The candidate must have a Graduation degree in any stream or diploma course in International Business. Candidates with an MBA degree will be preferred Strong negotiation skills Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
