Role Overview The Head – HR will be responsible for leading the complete Human Resources and Industrial Relations function at the Manesar plant. The role requires a seasoned HR professional who can balance strategic HR leadership with hands-on IR expertise, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives while maintaining harmonious employee relations. Key Responsibilities Human Resources (Strategic & Operational): Drive HR strategy in line with business objectives, supporting talent acquisition, development, and retention. Lead organization development initiatives, succession planning, and capability building. Implement performance management systems, reward & recognition frameworks, and employee engagement programs. Ensure compliance with labor laws, company policies, and statutory requirements. Partner with business leadership for workforce planning, productivity improvement, and HR digitalization. Industrial Relations: Lead and manage all aspects of industrial relations at the plant, ensuring harmonious and productive work culture. Handle union negotiations, collective bargaining, and wage settlement discussions effectively. Develop and maintain cordial relations with unions, government authorities, and local stakeholders. Proactively manage grievances, disciplinary actions, and employee disputes in line with company policies and statutory frameworks. Drive initiatives to create a union-management collaboration model with transparency and trust. Qualifications & Experience MBA / Master’s in HR / PM&IR / MSW from a reputed institute. 18–25 years of progressive experience in HR & IR, preferably in automotive / engineering / manufacturing sector. Strong track record in handling union management, wage settlements, and labor law compliance. Proven ability in strategic HR leadership, organizational development, and change management. Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and leadership skills with ability to influence at all levels. Key Competencies Balanced expertise in Strategic HR and Industrial Relations. Strong business acumen with the ability to align HR to business outcomes. Ability to handle ambiguity, conflict management, and crisis situations.
