Position: Leader - India Operations (In-office Role)
Location: Noida (On-site)
We are seeking a visionary accounting professional to lead our dynamic delivery organization in India. Roles and Responsibilities:
- Lead and inspire teams of accountants, bookkeepers, and payroll specialists focused on financial reporting, reconciliations, tax filings, and payroll for various clients.
- Ensure timely, high-quality delivery within SLAs, proactively addressing potential delays or issues.
- Uphold quality standards with approved tools and processes to drive accuracy, compliance, and efficiency.
- Serve as the primary client contact, providing updates, managing expectations, and handling escalations.
- Collaborate closely with onshore teams to align on client objectives and service delivery.
- Build a high-performing team through recruitment, development, and succession planning.
- Drive continuous improvement in accounting processes, reducing errors and increasing efficiency.
- Oversee team performance to ensure accurate, timely delivery of month-end close, financial statements, and reporting.
- Promote accountability through clear expectations, regular feedback, and fostering a culture of learning and discipline.
Required Skills and Experience:
- 15+ years in accounting or bookkeeping, delivering accounting services to clients in Canada, the UK, Australia, and the US.
- 5+ years in a leadership role managing onshore-offshore accounting teams, including financial reporting, payroll, and tax filings.
- Proven expertise in team building, scaling operations, and ensuring timely deliverables.
- Skilled in creating efficient workflows, implementing quality controls, and standardizing processes.
- Strong understanding of accounting service delivery, risk management, and quality standards.
- Excellent communication skills, proficient in English (both written and verbal).
- Experience in operational improvement, addressing issues like bottlenecks and accuracy challenges.
Educational Qualifications:
- Postgraduate degree in commerce or a related field, with a strong accounting background.
- Preference for candidates with CA, CPA, or engineering qualifications; an MBA is an asset.
- Extensive experience in accounting operations; BPO/KPO experience is advantageous.
- Proven ability to manage multiple clients with strong operational management skills.
