Job Description
The Product team at Earlybird spearheads a user-centered approach to product, solutions and systems design, and leads the introduction of industry-first solutions.
We are looking for a passionate Product Designer who champions customer experience and is skilled in integrating customer, business, and technical elements into impactful solutions.
Responsibilities:
As the Product Designer, you will:
Apply human-centered design principles to develop innovative customer experiences for modern entrepreneurs tailored to their efficiency and growth needs.
Validate and refine ideal customer profiles to capture pain-point, develop lo-fi, low-code and/or hi-fi prototypes tailored to support various stages of concept testing during market validation.
Engage in early-stage research, ideation, and storytelling, collaborating with cross-functional teams throughout the iteration and implementation process.
Demonstrate high accountability and ownership of your project and defining essential activities.
In This Role, You Will:
Lead and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to scope, design, prototype, and deliver innovative solutions.
Develop and define research methodologies that address design challenges and uncover customer behaviors, pain points, needs, and aspirations.
Conduct primary research to validate solution opportunity and flesh out ICP needs, pain-points, emerging trends and opportunities.
Transform research insights into visual storyboards and craft compelling customer-centered narratives.
Be adept at creating storyboards, wireframes, clickthrough prototypes, and final hi-fidelity design concepts.
Qualifications:
An outstanding portfolio showcasing strong human-centered design capabilities across projects in consumer space. Having shipped Apps in an App Store is helpful.
4–5 years of experience in UI/UX design, preferably with a focus on product design for web and mobile applications.
Credible experience with ethnographic research (both quantitative and qualitative), divergent exploration, concept development, and workshop facilitation.
Hands-on experience working with developers and product managers in fast-paced, iterative environments.
Background in product prototyping and testing, including building and delivering service blueprints, systems maps, customer journeys, and supporting the execution of product or service delivery
BA/BS degree in Design (e.g. graphic, interaction, visual communications, product, industrial), HCI, or a related field or equivalent practical experience.
Fluent in responsive design, native mobile/tablet UI/UX design for both iOS and Android.
Expert knowledge of major mobile platforms.
Healthy blend of strategic thinking capabilities with an innate "dream big, start small" mindset and an eagle eye for detail.
Empathy for users and a drive to discover and resolve their pain points.
An owner’s mindset - you don’t shy away from the hard stuff.
Passion for building delightful design experiences. Ability to translate human insights into UX strategies and solutions.
Effective communication of ideas and design decisions.
CS/Tech/AI Degree/Fluency will be a bonus.
What Will Also Help:
- 4+ years of research and design experience within an agency or technology-focused organization.
- A bachelor’s degree in Design (dual CS optional) or equivalent experience is desirable.
