Business Development Associate We are building a team of young, motivated, business development leaders who are passionate about building a global drone autonomy software business. As the Business Development Associate, you will play a critical role in driving the growth and expansion of our software platform for the drone industry worldwide. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment and shape the future of the commercial drone market. This role is based out of Pune, India, and requires international travel for tradeshows, partner events, and product demos. The team comprises young engineers and designers from top-tier universities such as IIT-B, IIT-KGP, University of Maryland, Georgia Tech, COEP, SRM, KIIT and with deep expertise in drone technology, computer science, electronics, aerospace, and robotics.   The company is headquartered in Silicon Valley, California, USA, and has R&D offices in Pune, India. Widely recognized as a pioneer in the commercial drone ecosystem, Flyt Base continues to win awards globally - Flyt Base was the Global Grand Champion at the ‘NTT Data Open Innovation Contest’ held in Tokyo, Japan, and was the recipient of ‘ Ti E50 Award’ at Ti E Silicon Valley.  Role and Responsibilities Manage relationships with Flyt Base’s global partner and customer network.  Solve business problem statements of customers/partners using a consultative approach. Creating awareness about Drone Autonomy and helping customers understand the right drone solution for their use case. Qualify & nurture leads from across the world, and convert MQLs to SQLs to paid customers, while tracking conversion rates, timelines, cost of customer acquisition, etc. Build & explain the business case for Flyt Base’s offerings via presentations, face-to-face meetings, and trade shows. This will also involve developing & refining sales collateral (eg. presentations, white papers, case studies, blogs). Work with partners across the world to help them with techno-commercial proposals, tenders, docking station hardware, and enterprise integrations. Track and report key business metrics using tools such as CRMs, mail tracking, conferencing, content sharing, and contract management tools.  Analyze the competitive context for Flyt Base’s offerings. Leverage Business Intelligence and analytical tools to track and optimize relevant business metrics. Automate business operations for quicker turnaround times. Provide market and customer insights to product managers & marketing teams. Last but not the least - travel to international trade shows to represent Flyt Base’s Global Presence Best suited for candidates who: (Skills/Experience) Are great with people – possess exceptional interpersonal skills and a natural ability to connect with others. Excel in building relationships, understanding customer needs, and fostering strong rapport with clients, partners, and stakeholders. Demonstrate a high level of empathy and the ability to understand and relate to the challenges and concerns of customers.  Hold a bachelor's degree in engineering or business. Demonstrate 0+ years of full-time experience in enterprise Saa S marketing and sales. Exhibit a proactive approach to identifying how drones can effectively solve customer problems. Are able to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment, adapting quickly to meet customer needs and address challenges. Possess a deep understanding of business metrics, and growth strategies, identifying Ideal Customer Profiles (ICPs), reducing churn rates, and maximizing Customer Lifetime Value (LTV). Possess the ability to leverage AI technologies to improve business development strategies, automate tasks, and drive data-driven decision-making. Demonstrates strong proficiency in commonly used productivity tools such as Microsoft Excel, Word, Power Point, etc. Are willing to be held accountable for lead generation and/or revenue targets, Are available for a full-time role based in Pune Are willing to work evenings and weekends to coordinate across time zones and ensure timely customer interactions. Possess a passion for closing sales and a readiness to provide exceptional customer service on a 24x7 basis. Note: MBA degree is not required. Drone/Robotics/Io T/AI/Saa S industry experience is a plus.
