About the Role - Compliance Manager


About the role

As a Compliance Manager, you will ensure that all organizational processes and systems comply with legal and regulatory requirements, with a strong emphasis on ISO/IEC standards. The ideal candidate will possess technical expertise in software systems, enabling them to collaborate closely with engineering teams to ensure the successful completion of ISMS (ISO) compliance and audits. They will also lead the transition from ISO/IEC 27001:2013 to ISO/IEC 27001:2022 while driving a culture of compliance within the organization.


Key Objectives:


  • Oversee compliance and regulatory adherence within the software product landscape.
  • Lead ISO/IEC compliance initiatives, ensuring readiness for audits and adherence to ISMS standards.
  • Partner with engineering and leadership teams to implement and maintain robust compliance processes.
  • Proactively identify, address, and mitigate compliance risks to uphold organizational standards.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Compliance Leadership:
  • Supervise business operations to align with regulatory and compliance standards, especially ISO/IEC 27001 requirements.
  • Provide guidance on compliance laws and best practices in the software industry.
  • Drive the transition from ISO/IEC 27001:2013 to ISO/IEC 27001:2022.


  • Technical Collaboration:
  • Work closely with the engineering team to integrate compliance requirements into software systems.
  • Oversee the implementation and documentation of ISMS frameworks.


  • Audit Readiness:
  • Ensure organizational readiness for ISO/IEC and ISMS audits.
  • Collaborate with external auditors and ensure timely submission of all audit-related documents and evidence.


  • Risk Management:
  • Identify and assess compliance risks; propose actionable mitigation strategies.
  • Maintain a detailed log of compliance breaches and recommend corrective measures.


  • Employee Training & Awareness:
  • Develop and deliver comprehensive training programs to build awareness of compliance standards.
  • Foster a culture of accountability and understanding of compliance policies across the organization.


  • Process Optimization:
  • Regularly review and refine compliance processes to close gaps and improve efficiency.
  • Ensure documentation and processes are up-to-date with the latest ISO/IEC standards.


Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, business administration, law, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in compliance management, particularly in the software product industry.
  • Strong technical knowledge of software systems and compliance standards.
  • In-depth understanding of ISO/IEC 27001:2013 and 27001:2022 standards, with experience managing ISMS frameworks.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to mitigating risks.


Preferred Skills:


  • Experience with SOC compliance and other software-related regulatory standards.
  • Proven track record of managing successful ISO/IEC audit cycles.
  • Strong project management and communication skills, with the ability to liaise across functions and leadership levels.
  • Ability to design and implement compliance frameworks and strategies in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
