About the role ( UI/UX Designer )


We are seeking a talented UI/UX Designer with 3-5 years of experience and a strong portfolio showcasing functional, well-designed interfaces and user-centred design solutions to join our dynamic team.


As a UI/UX Designer at Altoura you will have expertise in both visual aesthetics and user experience, ensuring intuitive and engaging interactions. You’ll deeply understand user flow and prioritize both end-user and content-creator experiences. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you’ll design intuitive and visually appealing interfaces that make Altoura easy to use across all platforms, including Windows, OSX, iOS, Android, Meta Quest, HoloLens, and Web.


Experience Level:


  • UI Designer (Experienced): 3 to 5 years


Responsibilities


  • Create layouts for menus and interfaces across all our platforms.
  • Create production-ready supporting graphics, illustrations and icons as needed.
  • Translate complex requirements into clear, functional designs that prioritize user experience.
  • Work with other designers to establish, update and maintain Altoura design system.
  • Conduct user research to understand the needs and behaviours of end-users and content creators, shaping design solutions that align with business objectives.
  • Present thoughtfully documented wireframes, and mock-ups to effectively communicate interaction and design ideas.
  • Design to reinforce platform consistency across all device types while adhering to design guidelines.
  • You will need scheduling flexibility to collaborate with teams across different time zones.


Qualifications


  • Up to 3 to 5 years of work experience as a UI/UX designer.
  • A portfolio of example projects and designs. Additional weight will be given to real projects for business customers.
  • An explanation of real problems that you have addressed is important.
  • The ability to critically think about what needs to be done, different ways of doing it and the impact of those decisions.
  • Proficiency in Figma, Photoshop, Illustrator and Lottie.
  • Effective communication skills. The ability to convey your design in words and graphics.
  • The ability to process feedback and quickly pivot design direction as needed.
  • You will have design revisions constantly and you will have to revise your designs quickly.


Bonus Experience

  • Experience with creating content for game engines (Unity preferred) or websites.
  • Experience with Accessibility Guidelines.
  • Previous AR/VR work experience.
