About the role – Instructional Designer
Altoura is a rapidly growing technology firm committed to delivering innovative solutions to meet the unique needs of our clients. Instructional Designers is responsible for the design and development of learning experiences. They are tasked with creating engaging learning activities and compelling course content for different platforms such as online learning environments, in-person training sessions, and blended learning programs. They will play a critical role in identifying the learning needs of an organization and designing content to meet those needs effectively.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in instructional design, educational technology, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in instructional design, preferably in the VR, AR, or e-learning industry.
- Demonstrated experience designing and developing immersive learning experiences.
- Strong knowledge of instructional design methodologies (e.g., ADDIE, SAM, etc.) and adult learning principles.
- Experience working with VR platforms and tools (Unity, Unreal Engine, or other VR development tools).
- Excellent writing and communication skills for developing clear and engaging learning content.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deliver high-quality work within deadlines.
- Familiarity with authoring tools (Articulate 360, Captivate) and learning management systems (LMS) is a plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and implement VR training programs that meet the learning objectives of diverse clients.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, 3D modelers, and subject matter experts, to ensure training content is accurate, engaging, and immersive.
- Apply adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies (ADDIE, SAM, etc.) to create learner-centric solutions.
- Develop scripts, storyboards, and user flows for VR-based training scenarios.
- Evaluate and analyze the effectiveness of training programs and recommend improvements based on feedback and data.
- Ensure all training content is accessible, intuitive, and easy to use for a wide range of users, from technical to non-technical backgrounds.
- Stay current with trends in VR technology and instructional design, best practices to continuously improve training delivery.

Education and Experience :
- 5+ years of experience in instructional design, preferably in the VR, AR, or e-learning industry.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, or a related field.
- Prior experience in tools like Unity3D, Unreal Engine, or other specialized software used in AR/VR development preferred.
- Certified Professional in Learning and Performance (CPLP) or eLearning Guild Certified Professional (EGCP) preferred.
