The incumbent will design and develop innovative winding process solutions tailored to customers in the electric motor manufacturing industry. This role focuses on creating and delivering automated and scalable winding systems that enable high-volume production while maintaining superior product quality. The engineer will work closely with customers to align solutions with their technical and operational needs and ensure the seamless integration of equipment into their production environments.
Key Objectives
Process Innovation : Design and develop efficient, reliable winding process solutions for electric motor production.
Customer-Centric Solutions : Collaborate with customers to meet their specific requirements for motor performance and production scalability.
Seamless Integration : Ensure that winding equipment integrates effectively with broader manufacturing systems.
Continuous Improvement : Enhance equipment design and processes to drive operational efficiency and product quality.
Job Responsibilities
Process Design and Development
Design winding processes suitable for high-volume electric motor manufacturing.
Specify winding parameters, such as coil configurations, materials, and insulation requirements, based on customer needs.
Develop process documentation, including workflows, specifications, and operation manuals.
Equipment Development and Integration
Collaborate with in-house engineering teams to design and develop automated winding equipment.
Define tooling and fixtures for specific winding applications.
Oversee equipment trials, fine-tuning the process for optimal performance and reliability.
Customer Engagement
Work closely with customers to understand their manufacturing requirements and challenges.
Provide technical advice and recommendations for process improvement and production scalability.
Conduct on-site commissioning of winding equipment and provide training to customer teams.
Quality Assurance
Implement quality control standards to ensure processes meet customer and industry specifications.
Perform testing and validation to confirm process reliability and output quality.
Address and resolve any quality-related issues during and post-implementation.
Research and Innovation
Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies in electric motor manufacturing.
Explore and integrate advancements in materials, automation, and robotics into winding solutions.
Collaboration and Project Management
Work as part of a cross-functional team, including design, production, and service departments.
Manage project timelines and deliverables to meet customer expectations and deadlines.
Qualification and Experience
5+ years of work experience in winding processes, motor manufacturing, or equipment development.
Hands-on experience with automated winding machines is preferred.
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
Certifications: Certifications in process engineering, automation, or motor design are advantageous.
