Job Description


Job Purpose

The Practice Head will build and execute the strategic direction required for growth and product development prioritisation aimed at delivering optimal customer experiences. This is a leadership role, where the Practice Head will represent the VIBS Connectivity and Security portfolios as a core member of the product function to achieve overall strategy, financial deliverables and transformation. Lead the change and transformation of connectivity to a converged suite of propositions integrating security for enterprises.


Key Accountabilities / Key Result Areas

Defining product vision, strategy and roadmap by clearly articulating business value and prioritising what matters the most to achieve the strategic goals for the practice.

Provide thought leadership and contributing deep product, technology and market expertise to the team to enable it to develop the mission, lifecycle strategy and roadmap for future ready platform of converged service offerings integrated with Security.

With innovative and adjacent products elevate VIBS positioning as a digital telco in enterprise market and deliver 3X revenue growth and double the market share. Accountable for P&L: Achieving profitable growth across all product lines. Drive initiatives to meet the Long Range Plan (LRP) of ~ INR 20000 Mn and double the market share in 5 years

Collaborating across sales segments to achieve the mission and create a superior end-to-end customer experience that drives growth and profitability

Contributing deep and broad commercial acumen and product economics skills to enable the team to continuously improve product performance, including identifying and addressing market trends, commercial matters, competitive threats and regulatory issues.

Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing product management & advanced solutions team, while creating and evolving the ideal organizational structure


Core Competencies, Knowledge, Experience, Technical / Professional Qualifications

  • 15+ years of experience, of which at least 10 years in product management & development function.
  • Leadership experience in applying deep domain expertise, commercial acumen and strong communication skills to address challenges and ensure a superior end-to-end customer experience
  • Demonstrated experience in handling dynamic, high-growth, high-uncertainty environments
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively build high-performing teams and attract and retain top talent
  • Powerful influencing / negotiation skills, effective relationship management skills and proven ability to function within a matrix-organisation


Technical / professional qualifications:

  • Engineering Graduate (preferably Electronics/ Telecommunications)
  • MBA/General Management program


Educational Qualifications

Engineering Graduate + M.B.A preferred
