Our flagship product, Sri Mandir, launched in November 2020, is the world’s largest app for Hindu devotees. It serves as a digital sanctuary for millions of devotees worldwide. Our mission is to enrich individuals' spiritual lives through innovative technology, offering seamless access to sacred pilgrims & rituals, divine teachings, and a vibrant community. The overwhelming user love motivates us as we aim to serve 100s of millions more in the coming years.
The devotion market is a $44 B opportunity in India (growing at 10% CAGR), which is primarily offline and unorganised. Of the $44 B, the temples drive GMV of ~$27 B in temple offerings, services, and commerce. There are 2 M+ temples in India - about 10k of these temples have a strong historical and cultural significance. Tourism to these religious places is a $10 B opportunity. The Sri Mandir app is the world’s largest app for Hindu devotees and growing 20-25% month-on-month.
Role Overview for Director of Operations:
As the Director of Operations, you will play a pivotal role in shaping, optimising and scaling our core operations. You will spearhead efforts to streamline processes, foster cross-functional collaboration, and develop strategies that drive efficiency and growth. Your role will be crucial in aligning our operational practices with the broader vision of the company, helping us build a sustainable and impactful spiritual tech platform. If you are passionate about driving operational excellence and building 11 star customer experience, we want to hear from you.
What You'll Do:
Operational Strategy: Develop and implement a comprehensive operational strategy that aligns with the company’s mission and growth goals.
Operational Excellence: Building systems and processes to create a habit of operational excellence across the operating teams that translates into high NPS.
Process Innovation: Identify bottlenecks, design scalable processes, and implement best practices to enhance overall efficiency and performance.
Team Building and Mentorship: Lead, inspire, and mentor a diverse operations team, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Data-Driven Decision Making: Leverage data insights to inform operational decisions, optimise performance metrics, and drive sustainable growth.
Vendor and Partnership Management: Manage relationships with external partners and vendors to ensure alignment with operational objectives and enhance service delivery.
Who You Are:
● A strategic leader with a proven track record of managing operations in dynamic, high-growth environments, and building high-performing teams.
● Passionate about process innovation and implementing efficient systems that drive growth.
● Data-driven, using analytics and insights to make informed decisions and accelerate success
Requirements:
-8+ years of experience in operations management, with 3-4 years in a senior leadership role.
Experience scaling operations for a consumer-tech startup or a rapidly growing D2 C company.
-Strong analytical and strategic planning skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
-Excellent communication and leadership abilities, with experience managing cross-functional teams.
-Familiarity with digital tools and platforms for project management, data analysis, and operational efficiency.
