Director - Supply & Partnerships: We are looking for a senior person with an experience of 7-8 years who has worked in supply and partnerships across Hospitality, Restaurants, Grocery or Fruits and Vegetables. We need someone who has the ability to onboard and scale our local supply partners i.e. temples and also be able to represent the company in front of government agencies. The person should be open to travel 2 weeks a month. Ideal candidate should have the right balance of hustle and maturity.

unorganised. Of the $44B, the temples drive GMV of ~$27B in temple offerings, services, and commerce. There are 2M+ temples in India - about 10k of these temples have a strong historical and cultural significance. Tourism to these religious places is a $10B opportunity. The Sri Mandir app is the world’s largest app for Hindu devotees and growing 20-25% month-on-month.
Role Overview for Head of Supply and Partnerships:
At AppsForBharat, we are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Business Development & Partnership professional to lead our temple partnership and onboarding initiatives. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying, negotiating, and managing partnerships with temples across India, ensuring their successful onboarding and continued success with our platform. The ideal candidate should be passionate about the cultural and spiritual landscape of India and be willing to travel extensively to build these partnerships. Your work will directly contribute to the expansion of our offerings, helping us bring digital devotion to a wider audience.
What You'll Do:
● Develop and execute strategic plans to identify, onboard, and manage temple partnerships across India on the Sri Mandir platform, driving the entire process from research and outreach to negotiation and agreement finalisation.
● Travel extensively across India to engage with temple authorities and trustees, conducting meetings and forging strategic partnerships. As the primary contact, build and sustain strong relationships, ensuring seamless collaboration and fostering long-term, impactful engagements.
● Oversee the onboarding process by working closely with the product and tech teams to ensure temples are seamlessly integrated into the Sri Mandir platform, with services accurately represented and functioning flawlessly.
● Conduct market research to identify potential partnership opportunities, stay updated on industry trends, and analyse the competitive landscape to differentiate our offerings and maximise partnership potential.
● Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, content, operations, legal, and finance, to create compelling campaigns that showcase temple partnerships while ensuring compliance with regulatory and financial guidelines.
● Monitor and evaluate temple partnerships by setting KPIs, tracking performance against strategic goals, and regularly reporting progress, successes, and areas for improvement to senior management.
Requirements:
● 7+ years of experience in business development or partnerships, ideally in the Retail/D2C sector.
● Proven track record in negotiating, establishing and managing partnerships with govt./state bodies.
● Strong networking, relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence internal/external stakeholders.
● Willingness to travel extensively across India, sometimes at short notice.
● Excellent communication and negotiation abilities, both verbal and written.
● Deep understanding of India's religious & cultural landscape, particularly temples & devotional practices.
● Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
