Role & Responsibilities :
The candidate will be responsible for all accounts payable activities, payroll, compliance & operations , including but not limited to:
Payroll Management: Manage the complete payroll process, including calculating monthly salaries, handling reimbursements, incentives, advance payments, and deductions.
Compliance : Ensure compliance with all relevant labor laws and statutory requirements, including EPF, ESI, PT, and Gratuity. Manage EPF & ESIC compliance, including filing challans and registering new nominations.
Vendor management : Should involve coordinating with vendors or suppliers regarding purchase orders, invoices, and payments.
Tax calculations: Calculate tax deductions accurately and provide guidance to employees on tax-related inquiries
Accounts Payable: Should have experience in managing all aspects of accounts payable activities.
Bookkeeping: Maintain accurate records of daily transactions and payments, ensuring proper bookkeeping practices.
Operations: Manage operational tasks, including purchasing licenses and subscriptions for necessary tools and software, creating email accounts for new employees, and collaborating with the administration for office supplies.
Reporting & documentation: Prepare and maintain compliance reports and documentation to meet regulatory standards and internal requirements.
Qualifications :
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Accounting, Labor Laws, or a related field (commerce background preferred).
1-2 years of relevant experience in payroll processing, compliance management, and operational functions.
Strong understanding of different types of accounting records, including journals, ledgers, trial balances, and profit and loss statements.
Strong understanding of labor laws and accounting principles.
Proficient in using accounting software such as Tally and Zoho Books.
Experience with Razorpay is preferred.
