Role & Responsibilities:
The candidate will be responsible for all accounts payable activities, payroll, compliance & operations , including but not limited to:
- Payroll Management: Manage the complete payroll process, including calculating monthly salaries, handling reimbursements, incentives, advance payments, and deductions.
- Compliance : Ensure compliance with all relevant labor laws and statutory requirements, including EPF, ESI, PT, and Gratuity. Manage EPF & ESIC compliance, including filing challans and registering new nominations.
- Vendor management : Should involve coordinating with vendors or suppliers regarding purchase orders, invoices, and payments.
- Tax calculations: Calculate tax deductions accurately and provide guidance to employees on tax-related inquiries
- Accounts Payable: Should have experience in managing all aspects of accounts payable activities.
- Bookkeeping: Maintain accurate records of daily transactions and payments, ensuring proper bookkeeping practices.
- Operations: Manage operational tasks, including purchasing licenses and subscriptions for necessary tools and software, creating email accounts for new employees, and collaborating with the administration for office supplies.
- Reporting & documentation: Prepare and maintain compliance reports and documentation to meet regulatory standards and internal requirements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Accounting, Labor Laws, or a related field (commerce background preferred).
- 1-2 years of relevant experience in payroll processing, compliance management, and operational functions.
- Strong understanding of different types of accounting records, including journals, ledgers, trial balances, and profit and loss statements.
- Strong understanding of labor laws and accounting principles.
- Proficient in using accounting software such as Tally and Zoho Books.
- Experience with Razorpay is preferred.
