The Yulu BD team is on a mission to light up every city that opens up opportunities for first and last mile leisure and goods mobility business. In this endeavour, Yulu Business Partner (YBP), is a new vertical where are setting up Franchise businesses across India as also exploring international markets. Yulu will operate primarily via Business Partners in these markets which offers great scope for creative problem solving and disproportionate value add for the company. This is an exciting space because, it enables Yulu to spread its footprint across geographies within India and internationally with ready to deploy technology stack and product backed by proprietary platform capabilities in a seamless and integrated manner. At the fore front of this venture is a happy and successful customer – the Yulu Business Partner. Role Summary
The Business Partner team is looking for a leader with strong operations, business planning, supply chain management and customer first skills to grow partners’ business. This will involve P&L focus to ensure that partner’s operating costs are kept at the minimal via solving for spares, R&M supply chain and other operational bottlenecks towards better operational efficiency on a daily basis. It will involve dabbling with revenue increasing measures and cost reduction initiatives that positions Business Partner’s on an ever increasing growth trajectory with Yulu.
Key Responsibilities
● Responsible for optimizing business planning efficiencies, repairs & maintenance (R&M), supply chain ecosystems across India and globally for Yulu Business Partners as required.
● Pro-active planning of spares, inventory ensuring availability so that 99% uptime is maintained; travel planning of Yulu mechanics for Business partner cities.
● Strategic foresight on demand planning with Central inventory team, reviewing processes and implementing SOPs for on-ground implementation for Partners.
● Leading cost efficiency and revenue growth projects for Business partners that directly translates to P&L growth.
● Consulting on operations remotely/in-person for business partner’s team in line with Yulu best practices, ensuring industry best metrics are maintained at lowest TAT and costs for partner.
● Co-ordinating with Yulu central teams for design, integration and implementation of strategic projects that leads to Partner growth and success in terms of # bikes added to the city, potential other market opportunities with same business partner.
● Overseeing training requirements of R&M related staff in coordination with the Learning and Development function for Yulu Business Partners.
● Using data to identify improvement areas and formulating plans to bring design and process efficiencies leading to productivity enhancement for Business Partners across India.
● Leveraging city control room leads and functional heads expertise to plan for Business Partner City operational efficiencies.
Key Requirements
● A go-getter with an entrepreneurial mindset motivated by Big Hairy Audacious Goals (BHAG). The person should be agile and think on his/her feet. He should have a great bias for action with an impeccable execution record.
● A data-driven decision-making approach with good understanding of operations management, supply-chain, ops excellence and/or inventory management systems and practices.
● Ability to think independently, with a keen eye for business planning and detail orientation with consultative skills that can positively impact partner’s P&L.
● Min 4-5 years of experience in roles encompassing one or more of - partner growth, P&L, business planning, distribution businesses, manufacturing, supply chain functions.
● A leader with strong negotiation and persuasive skills and able to adapt quickly to changing requirements and business priorities.
● Ability to work with ease across the board with - business partners, vendors, customers, field staff, mechanics, blue-collared employees and a deep bias for problem solving on operations excellence.
● Manufacturing / Mechanical Engg background would be preferable. Knowledge of multiple languages is an added bonus. Experience in EV preferred but not mandatory.
