About Us:
The Souled Store is a homegrown youth casual-wear brand started in 2013. We are one of India’s largest online merchandising platform with licenses like Disney, Warner Bros., WWE, IPL, Viacom18 to name a few. Apart from selling products with themed designs such as superheroes, movies, TV shows, and cartoons, the brand also is at the forefront of latest youth style and fashion trends. In addition to core men and women wear apparel categories, we are also in the process of expanding to new categories and introducing new product lines in the existing categories like active wear, supima products, innerwear, personal care products like perfumes etc. We will also be launching footwear and kids wear very soon.
Although we are primarily an online brand, we’ve expanded in the offline retail space as well and have five offline stores in Mumbai, one in Bangalore, one in Delhi, with plans for expansion pan India.

Job Overview:
The Senior Garment Technician will play a pivotal role in the development of our western women's wear collections. This position requires a deep understanding of garment construction, fit, and technical specifications. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with designers, production teams, and suppliers to ensure that our products meet the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Garment Development: Oversee the technical development of garments from initial design to final production. Ensure all garments meet quality, fit, and aesthetic standards-
- Ensuring pre-production samples are signed off in time to hit production factory exit dates.
- Working back from PP sign-off dates, ensuring size sets are protos are approved in time.
- Flagging any delays with the Fashion lead, and problem-solving with suppliers.
- Creating the size specs including tolerances and grading, following established standards.
- Engage with designers in the design and development
- Conduct all fit meetings for category and decisions agreed to in consultation with the Designer.
- Deciding which pre-production garment samples are required for each style – size sets, next protos etc.
- Ensure approvals, all technical information and specifications are completed accurately and by the timeline
- Issue sample comments to suppliers
- Responsible for Pre-production sample sign-off and the handover to production and QA departments.
- Making decisions on when you require another sample and what can be actioned in production, ordering top/pre-ship samples.
- Assist with wash testing actions.
- Wear testing for general feedback to utilise samples
- Conduct fit sessions, analyse fit comments, and work collaboratively with the design team to make necessary adjustments.
- Review and approve all samples, providing constructive feedback to manufacturers to achieve the desired outcome.
- Implement quality control processes to identify and resolve potential issues in fit, construction, and materials before production.
- Fabric Knowledge: Stay informed about new fabrics and techniques relevant to western women's wear, advising on best practices and innovative solutions.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with design, production, and merchandising teams to ensure seamless communication and alignment throughout the development process.
- Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior technicians and assist in their professional development.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design, Textile Science, or related field.
- 4 years and up of experience as a garment technician in the fashion industry, with a focus on women's wear.
- Strong understanding of garment construction, fit principles, and pattern making.
- Proficiency in CAD software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
