Role Description
The Senior Manager of Medical Affairs will be part of the Medical Affairs and Research Affairs department, ensuring the strategic alignment of medical initiatives with the company's objectives.
1) Managing Research Affairs and Regulatory Affairs will be a key component of this role The role will involve overseeing market research, developing questionnaires, analyzing data, and leading communication strategies for research projects.
Establishing a sustainable innovation ecosystem requires a well-connected network of entrepreneurs, domestic and foreign private enterprises, educational and research institutions, government agencies, investors, business incubators, and technology and business mentors. This need has led to the establishment of regional innovation clusters in many parts of the world. Such innovation clusters bring together capital, expertise, and talent to foster technological breakthroughs. Innovation clusters are uniquely distinctive in their structure and operating model.
This role will involve:
• Building an active network of research institutes, companies, NGOs and government bodies to promote knowledge sharing, cross-fertilization of ideas, and co-innovation (Collaboration).
• Identifying and resolving AESTHETICS relevant problems, through active coordination with government organisations and NGOs (Responsiveness).
• Accelerating regional scientific and technological progress, and improving the regional innovation ecosystem, by facilitating a wider range of research initiatives, better access to funding opportunities, and greater networking and career opportunities for student communities (Competitiveness)
• Inspiring new products and technologies by coordinating efforts and financial resources and effective integration of intellectual and financial resources to create a new generation of innovative businesses (Innovation)

2) Medical Affairs:
This role involves overseeing the development and execution of medical strategies, providing scientific and clinical support to various departments, and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders, including healthcare professionals, regulatory bodies, and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Medical Strategy Development:
Develop and implement the medical affairs strategy in alignment with the company's overall business objectives.
Provide medical input into product development, regulatory submissions, and marketing strategies.
Scientific Support:
Provide scientific and clinical expertise to support product development, regulatory submissions, and marketing activities.
Oversee the development of medical information and communication materials for internal and external use.
Stakeholder Engagement:
Build and maintain strong relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs), healthcare professionals, and regulatory authorities.
Represent the company at scientific and medical conferences, meetings, and events.
Team Leadership:
Lead, mentor, and manage the Medical Affairs team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment.
Ensure continuous development and training of the Medical Affairs team members.
Compliance and Ethics:
Ensure all medical activities are conducted in compliance with regulatory requirements, ethical standards, and company policies.
Monitor and report on adverse events and other safety-related information as required.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Collaborate with R&D, regulatory, marketing, and commercial teams to ensure the alignment of medical and business strategies.
Provide medical insights to support market access and pricing strategies.
Data Analysis and Reporting:
Analyze clinical data to support product positioning and differentiation.
Prepare and present medical reports and insights to senior management.
Role and Location
Full time role, On Site, at our Bandra Kurla Complex Corporate Office
Qualifications and Experience:
MBBS, with MD Pharmacology or Dermatology will be preferred. Or, a PhD in a relevant field.
We may consider PhD, BDS, PharmD or equivalent in a relevant medical or scientific field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in medical affairs within the pharmaceutical or biotech industry.
Proven leadership experience with a track record of managing and developing high-performing teams.
In-depth knowledge of regulatory requirements, clinical trials, and drug development processes.
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Research and Development (R&D), Research, and Project Management skills
Extensive experience in a research environment, with a proven track record of successful research projects
Outstanding communication and leadership skills
The ability to manage a team of scientists and delegate tasks effectively
Good organisational and problem solving skills
Team Management and Team Leadership abilities
Excellent organizational and strategic planning skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Experience in the medical or cosmetic surgery field is preferred
