Position Overview:

Our Client is seeking an experienced and dynamic Cluster Revenue Manager to manage the Revenue Management function for some of the exceptional properties in their portfolio . He will ensure Room Inventory is allocated and utilised appropriately to maximize Revenue and Profits for Cluster Hotels in the Market ; Oversee building rates, packages and hotel sales strategy information in the hotels’ inventory systems ;Conducts analysis of revenue, profit and demand associated with hotel rooms and space inventory. The Position critiques sales strategy effectiveness and oversees historical and future analysis of revenue and profit opportunities.


Key Responsibilities:


Executing Revenue Management Projects and Strategy

● Ensures that the Hotels’ Sales Strategies are effectively implemented.

● Ensures that sales strategies and rate restrictions are communicated, implemented and modified as market conditions fluctuate.

● Ensures property diagnostic processes (PDP) are used to maximize revenue and profits.

● Ensures compliance and participation in company promotions and eCommerce channels

● Ensures all hotels follow brand strategies that will maintain and/or increase the hotels’ revenue per available room (RevPAR) and revenue per available square foot (RevPAS).

● Participates in periodic Cluster Reviews

● Attends meetings to plan, organize, prioritize, coordinate and manage activities and solutions.

● Establishes long-range objectives and specifying the strategies and actions to achieve them.

● Understands and meets the needs of key stakeholders.

● Explores opportunities that drive profit, encourage innovation; challenges existing

processes/systems/products to make improvements.


Analyzing and Reporting Revenue Management Data

● Compiles information, analyses and monitors actual sales against projected sales.

● Analyse long range forecast for Rooms and F&B.

● Conducts sales strategy analysis to increase market share for all properties.

● Analyse period end and other available systems data to identify trends, future need periods and obstacles to achieving goals.

● Assists with account diagnostics process and validates conclusions.

● Provides revenue analysis functional expertise to stakeholders.

● Oversees forecasts of revenue, profit, demand and occupancy for prescribed timeframes

● Prepares revenue and profit opportunity analysis.

● Analyses information and evaluates results to choose the best solution and solve problems.

● Generates and provides accurate and timely results in the form of reports, presentations etc.


Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality Management/Business Management or a related field.
  • A minimum of 8-10 years of experience in the Hospitality industry with leading International Hospitality Brands, with at least 6 years progressive work-related experience in Revenue Management and exposure in handling multiple Hotel Properties, with demonstrated proficiency in understanding central reservations systems and revenue management systems, including knowledge and experience in hotel pricing concepts, yield management optimization and selling strategies. Demonstrated project management experience in organizing, planning and executing large-scale projects from conception through implementation.
  • Demonstrated effective verbal and written communication skills for the purpose of
  • providing information to senior management.
  • Ability to build and manage relationships with leadership, field support teams and key hotel representatives.
  • Experience with industry and market trends as they relate to revenue opportunities, and demonstrated ability to drive revenue.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of effective Hotel Pricing concepts, yield management

Optimisation and selling strategies, and ability to determine which concepts to apply in given market conditions.

  • Experience in industry training, including preparation, implementation and delivery of training programs.
  • Analytical skills and ability to use the results of analysis to make effective strategic decisions.
  • Demonstrated analytical skills and ability to use the results of analysis to make

recommendations regarding effective strategic decisions.

  • Knowledge of Revenue Management best practices, reservation systems, and revenue

management systems
