The role in a gist:
As Flexi Loans enters the next orbit of growth, we are looking for people with the passion and hunger to make a dent in the MSME ecosystem. As an Operational Risk Manager, you will play a critical role in managing and mitigating operational risks within the Credit function. Read more on what we are looking for in the role.
What you will work on:
Identify operational risks across credit processes, including loan origination, underwriting, disbursement, and collections.
Develop and implement robust control measures to mitigate identified risks, ensuring adherence to company policies and regulatory requirements.
Ensuring that various RBI guidelines are implemented and adhered.
Investigate risk incidents, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
Track and report key operational risk indicators (KRIs) to provide early warnings of potential risks.
Conduct regular audits of credit operations to ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
Prepare detailed risk assessment reports for senior management, highlighting key findings and recommendations.
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Credit, Risk, Compliance, and Technology, to implement risk mitigation strategies.
Conduct training sessions for credit team members to promote risk awareness and adherence to risk management practices.
The ideal candidate:
Highly driven and motivated individual with ability to get hands-on where required.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
Proactive and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
In-depth knowledge of operational risk frameworks, especially within credit operations.
Qualification and Experience
CA/MBA with 5-10 years of relevant experience in Operational Risk Management.
Should have experience in assessing and managing operational risks across business processes.
Should have experience in creating and maintaining Risk Registers, conducting periodic Risk Control testing, and implementing risk mitigation strategies.
Engaging with stakeholders to understand and plug Operational risk gap areas
