The role in a gist:

As FlexiLoans enters the next orbit of growth, we are looking for people with the passion and hunger to make a dent in the MSME ecosystem.As an Operational Risk Manager, you will play a critical role in managing and mitigating operational risks within the Credit function. What you will work on:

  • Identify operational risks across credit processes, including loan origination, underwriting, disbursement, and collections.
  • Develop and implement robust control measures to mitigate identified risks, ensuring adherence to company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensuring that various RBI guidelines are implemented and adhered.
  • Investigate risk incidents, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Track and report key operational risk indicators (KRIs) to provide early warnings of potential risks.
  • Conduct regular audits of credit operations to ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
  • Prepare detailed risk assessment reports for senior management, highlighting key findings and recommendations.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Credit, Risk, Compliance, and Technology, to implement risk mitigation strategies.
  • Conduct training sessions for credit team members to promote risk awareness and adherence to risk management practices.

The ideal candidate:

  • Highly driven and motivated individual with ability to get hands-on where required.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Proactive and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of operational risk frameworks, especially within credit operations.

Qualification and Experience

  • CA/MBA with 5-10 years of relevant experience in Operational Risk Management.
  • Should have experience in assessing and managing operational risks across business processes.
  • Should have experience in creating and maintaining Risk Registers, conducting periodic Risk Control testing, and implementing risk mitigation strategies.
