About the Role

The Total Rewards and People Process Lead will be a key member of the HR leadership team. responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining competitive and equitable compensation, rewards, and performance management programs for the 50000+ employee base of Sodexo India OSS (On Site Services )


The role involves aligning the organization's total rewards strategy with business objectives to drive employee engagement, motivation, and retention. The incumbent will work closely with senior management, HR business partners, and department heads to ensure that rewards programs and enabling people processes support the company’s goals and values.

This role requires a strategic thinker who can balance the need for competitive, equitable compensation with a deep understanding of employee data and the systems that support a modern HR function.


Key Responsibilities:


1) Design and Execute Reward & Benefits Philosophy

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive rewards strategy that includes compensation, benefits and incentives programs.
  • Conduct market research and benchmarking to ensure competitive and fair salary structures.
  • Manage the annual/ in year salary reviews, performance linked variable pay program, and incentive schemes (short term and long term)
  • Collaborate with external compensation consultants to assess competitiveness and make recommendations for adjustments as needed basis market research against industry standards and competitors
  • Provide insights and reports to senior management for any improvement in compensation, bonus and incentive plans for the organization
  • Ensure that reward programs are compliant with local regulations and best practices.
  • Develop and monitor manpower cost budgets.
  • Establish a transparent and systematic job evaluation framework to promote equity and clarity in compensation practices.
  • Analyze compensation and performance data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Establish a clear and compelling employee value proposition that attracts and retains top talent.
  • Oversee the development, harmonization and implementation of employee policies, ensuring efficient execution across all levels


2) People & life cycle processes

  • Lead the design and implementation of a robust performance management framework that fosters a culture of high performance.
  • Support the ongoing development and enhancement of performance appraisal processes, including goal setting, reviews, feedback, and performance improvement plans.
  • Collaborate with leaders to ensure the people processes aligns with business objectives and drive accountability.
  • Train managers and employees on process enabling tools and systems.
  • Lead the design and automation of employee lifecycle processes (Probation, Transfers, Onboarding/Offboarding) for employees to ensure efficiency and quality delivery


3) Stakeholder Management

  • Collaborate with HR, Finance, and department heads to ensure the alignment of compensation and performance management strategies with overall business goals.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on compensation and performance management for senior leadership.
  • Work with legal, compliance & payroll teams to ensure adherence to all local labor laws and regulations


Key Qualifications:

  • 12+ years of experience in Rewards and Benefits function. Experience in rewards consulting practices coupled with business C&B stint will be a clear advantage
  • Know-how of reward and benefits methodologies and practices (functional and external)
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate complex information clearly and concisely to all levels of the organization and project management approach
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
