The General Manager - Project Management for the Western region will oversee office fit-out projects across coworking spaces, ensuring high-quality delivery within specified timelines and budget constraints. This role includes responsibility for end-to-end project planning, execution, and monitoring, with a focus on ensuring that each location aligns with Awfis’s brand standards and meets client needs. The GM will lead a regional team, coordinate with multiple stakeholders, and uphold standards of efficiency and quality across all projects. Key Responsibilities Regional Project Planning and Execution Oversee planning, budgeting, and execution of office fit-out projects across the Western region, setting clear timelines, milestones, and resource allocations. Utilize project management software for efficient planning, tracking, and reporting on project status. Ensure all fit-out activities comply with Awfis’s operational standards and client requirements. Design Review and Quality Assurance Review and assess design layouts, ensuring optimal use of space, quality furnishings, and alignment with brand guidelines. Provide design recommendations on space planning, layout, and coordination to ensure aesthetic appeal and functional use. Monitor the quality of work and inspect materials delivered on-site for compliance with project standards. Team Leadership and Management Lead, mentor, and support Project Managers and project-in-charge personnel across the region. Delegate tasks effectively to project in-charges, monitor their performance, and support them in troubleshooting project-related challenges. Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback. Vendor and Contractor Coordination Collaborate with contractors and vendors to ensure smooth project operations, maintaining control over scheduling, costs, and quality. Negotiate terms, monitor vendor performance, and ensure quality control on-site. Review bills of quantities (BOQ) and maintain cost efficiency across all fit-out projects. Quality and Compliance Monitoring Supervise the installation of interior features, including carpeting, paint, glass partitions, artwork, furniture, and related decor elements. Conduct site visits to ensure adherence to safety, quality, and regulatory standards. Address any deviations in quality or design, coordinating with contractors and internal teams to rectify issues promptly. Budget Management and Cost Control Develop, monitor, and maintain project budgets, implementing cost-effective measures without compromising quality. Prepare and analyze budget reports, adjusting allocations as necessary to ensure project completion within financial constraints. Present regular project updates and budget reports to senior leadership. Timely Project Delivery Ensure each project is completed within the established timeline, meeting both internal and client expectations for delivery. Proactively identify and mitigate potential delays or risks that may impact project deadlines. Desired Skills and Expertise Education : BE/B. Tech in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field. Experience : Minimum of 15+ years in office interior fit-out project management, with a proven track record in managing large-scale corporate or coworking projects. Technical Skills : Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera) and familiarity with Auto CAD or similar design review tools. Competencies : Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Excellent problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to addressing project challenges. Effective interpersonal and communication skills to interact with clients, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
