Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role as a Senior Production Manager located in Mumbai. The Senior Production Manager will oversee the garment production process, coordinate schedules, ensure that the highest quality standards are maintained, and lead a team of skilled production staff. The role also involves managing timelines for custom bridal orders and ensuring seamless execution of pret and couture collections.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of garment production, including cutting, sewing, and finishing, ensuring timely and efficient production of Custom Bridal, Pret, and Couture collections
- Develop and implement production schedules to meet delivery timelines for custom bridal orders and seasonal collections
- Collaborate closely with design and sales teams to align production with creative vision and customer expectations
- Ensure adherence to quality control standards, conducting inspections at various stages of production to maintain high-quality output
- Manage and train a team of production staff, including tailors, pattern makers, and quality control personnel, fostering a productive work environment
- Source and coordinate with suppliers to ensure availability and quality of fabrics, embellishments, and other materials
- Implement and maintain health and safety protocols in the production facility
- Troubleshoot and resolve any production issues that arise, ensuring minimal disruptions and delays
- Monitor and control production costs, optimizing resources to meet budgetary constraints
Qualifications
- Proven experience in garment production management, preferably in luxury or bridal fashion
- Strong leadership, organizational, and team management skills
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design, Textile Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field
