The Head of Collections is responsible for leading the function including.
Manages the mid-corporate / SME collections and recovery of difficult accounts
Propose and execute a structured way of collections of NPA accounts
Engaging key NBFC Co-Lending Partners
Building and managing an inhouse collections team for Co-lending and Supply Chain Finance
Building in-house team and managing pan India network of Collection partners in line with Vivriti policy.
The Collections Head will work on multiple initiatives including.
Mid - Corporate / SME Collections
Develop and implement effective collection strategies to maximize loan recoveries and reduce delinquencies
Minimizing Provisioning loss and maintain the portfolio health
Implementing resolution and work out strategies focused on capturing value within a finite time through well-defined process
Co-Lending Collections
Manage relations with key NBFC Co-Lending partners at a senior and mid management level including their Head Collections, Credit & Risk Heads
Understand the Collections setup, framework, policy & process for each Co-Lending NBFC partner
NBFC Sectors that would be covered include Consumer Finance, Microfinance, Two-Wheeler, Commercial Vehicles, Unsecured SME, Secured SME
Develop and onboard collection agencies across geographies where Vivriti has its portfolio presence.
Collections for Supply Chain Finance and Loan Against Property-
Set up a Collection Strategy & Infrastructure that covers the various business aspects of Vivriti’s portfolio
Develop an in-house collection team for effective control over Vivriti’s portfolio.
Impact of this Role
This role is of strategic importance to the company as we leverage technology to scale our business and enhance the client value proposition, including.
Ability to take over a NBFC Co-Lending partner portfolio for Collections.
Effective engagement with NBFC Co-Lending partners leading to an in-house view of each partner, their policies & gaps in process.
The output provided by this team will be used to fine tune our business plans and course correct as needed.
In addition to the above, we are open to new ideas and suggestions that can provide value to the company.
Desired Skills and Experience
MBA / Post Graduate with 15+ years of experience in collections in mid-corporate, SME, Secured business loans, Co-lending from an NBFC or Bank
Negotiation with difficult accounts- handled SME cases from 1cr to 20cr exposure
Structure solutions
NCLT process experience
Experience in other avenues to apply pressure- Criminal/ Civil/ PG invocation/ Identifying assets/ SARFAESI
Ability to liaison with police/ regulators/ agencies
Desired, but not mandatory: IBC certified professional
Able to independently engage with senior leadership of other NBFCs.
Knowledge of pan India credit markets and credit culture
Good network across India with other NBFCs, Banks and Collection Agencies
Good knowledge of various financial products and asset categories
Well versed with various collection activities w.r.t. team, process, in-housing & outsourcing of functions, vendors empanelment & management, commercials, and other related activities.
Sector understanding of Financial Institutions and Corporates. Good knowledge of interpreting client businesses and financial ratios. Exposure to both wholesale and retail risk in a NBFC/ banking environment
Ability to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
