- Profile - Head - Collections

· Set collections targets & develop collection optimization strategies by market penetration. Responsible for managing all legal activities initiated in the region for all matters
· Instrumental in developing the team with clearly spelt out responsibilities for handling delinquency cases and ensuring speedy recovery of due payments
· Strategize legal initiatives on the identified & eligible delinquent accounts. Identify, analyze and implement solutions that drive results as per the policy of the company
· Controlled the costs of collections and improved processes to enhance staff productivity
· Strong follow-up on high ticket accounts and ensuring payments applying varied strategies
· Handle Penal Collections from the Delinquent Portfolio. Responsible for Branch Level Licensing and Compliance
· Draw suitable policies and take up the initiatives in line with legal policy of the Bank and keeping the dynamic of the judiciary & law enforcement agencies of the location/region
· Manage high Value, critical cases & address the escalated matters and matters concerning high exposure of the region
· Conduct data analysis based on products, portfolios and basis cost of data for optimal decision-making and determining the strategy of the region. Ensure minimum collection losses
· Manage collections & possessions on the allocated portfolio, allocation & reallocation of accounts to achieve maximum output. Coordinate with other Departments to minimize the delinquency risk and resolution of cases
· Accountable for maintaining a healthy portfolio and managing recoveries/ collections and taking legal steps against seriously delinquent accounts. Consistently monitor & manage receivables for maintaining excellent recovery ratios
· Monitor receipt update and periodical audit on receipt books.
· Handle manpower planning, recruitment, training & development of the team of Collections & Legal Managers. Review the performance of Collection Managers and Recovery Officers wrt target allocation, achievement review, etc
· Conduct regular reviews with collections and understand the requirements. Plan legal activities & execution accordingly
· Maintain MIS reports to gauge the developments of all the processing for the top management
