Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Marketing & Sales - MICE Specialist at Shoonya Farm Retreat in Belgundi. The Specialist will be responsible for day-to-day tasks related to communication, customer service, sales, training, and sales management to enhance the experience for visitors and facilitate group activities.
Responsibilities:
Sales and Marketing: Promote destinations, products, and services offered by the company to potential clients.
Event Planning and Coordination: Assist clients in planning, contracting, organizing, and executing events such as meetings, incentive trips, conferences, and exhibitions.
Client Services: Act as the main point of contact, providing personalized end-to-end solutions to ensure smooth operations.
Developing Sales Strategies: Create and implement effective sales strategies to expand the customer base and increase market presence
Market Research: Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities and understand market trends
Sales Coordination: Set sales targets, track performance, and develop plans for improvement
Marketing Activities: Plan and oversee marketing activities, ensuring consistency with overall business objectives
Client Relationships: Build and maintain relationships with clients, potential customers, and other stakeholders
Budget Management: Manage budgets for marketing and sales campaigns
Competitor Monitoring: Monitor competitors' activities and make necessary adjustments to strategies
Reporting: Prepare and present sales and marketing reports to senior management
Staying current in the industry by attending educational opportunities, conferences, and workshops, reading publications, and maintaining personal and professional networks.
Requirements: Education: Bachelor's degree in hospitality, tourism, event management, or a related field.
Experience: Proven experience in event planning and management, particularly within the MICE sector.
Skills: Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities, attention to detail, and strong communication skills.
Software Proficiency: Familiarity with MS Office and relevant event management software.
Certifications: Relevant certifications such as CMP (Certified Meeting Professional) are a plus but not mandatory.
