Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Marketing & Sales - MICE Specialist at Shoonya Farm Retreat in Belgundi. The Specialist will be responsible for day-to-day tasks related to communication, customer service, sales, training, and sales management to enhance the experience for visitors and facilitate group activities.


Responsibilities:


  • Sales and Marketing: Promote destinations, products, and services offered by the company to potential clients.
  • Event Planning and Coordination: Assist clients in planning, contracting, organizing, and executing events such as meetings, incentive trips, conferences, and exhibitions.
  • Client Services: Act as the main point of contact, providing personalized end-to-end solutions to ensure smooth operations.
  • Developing Sales Strategies: Create and implement effective sales strategies to expand the customer base and increase market presence
  • Market Research: Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities and understand market trends


  • Sales Coordination: Set sales targets, track performance, and develop plans for improvement


  • Marketing Activities: Plan and oversee marketing activities, ensuring consistency with overall business objectives


  • Client Relationships: Build and maintain relationships with clients, potential customers, and other stakeholders


  • Budget Management: Manage budgets for marketing and sales campaigns


  • Competitor Monitoring: Monitor competitors' activities and make necessary adjustments to strategies


  • Reporting: Prepare and present sales and marketing reports to senior management
  • Staying current in the industry by attending educational opportunities, conferences, and workshops, reading publications, and maintaining personal and professional networks.





Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in hospitality, tourism, event management, or a related field.
  • Experience: Proven experience in event planning and management, particularly within the MICE sector.
  • Skills: Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities, attention to detail, and strong communication skills.
  • Software Proficiency: Familiarity with MS Office and relevant event management software.
  • Certifications: Relevant certifications such as CMP (Certified Meeting Professional) are a plus but not mandatory.
