Introduction:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join our dynamic team. As an SRE, you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability, scalability, and performance of our systems and infrastructure. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and maintain systems that can withstand high traffic and provide an exceptional user experience. Responsibilities:
Reliability & Availability : Monitor and improve the availability, latency, and performance of critical applications and services.
Infrastructure Automation : Develop, deploy, and maintain automation solutions to ensure reliable and efficient infrastructure management.
Incident Management : Respond to and resolve production incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement fixes to prevent recurrence.
Monitoring & Alerts : Set up and manage monitoring, alerting, and logging systems to detect and mitigate performance issues proactively.
Performance Optimization : Identify system bottlenecks, troubleshoot performance issues, and implement performance improvements.
Collaboration & Support : Work closely with developers, operations, and other teams to ensure the infrastructure supports product features and user requirements.
Capacity Planning : Analyze traffic trends, predict future demand, and proactively scale systems to meet business growth.
Security & Compliance : Implement and maintain security best practices across our infrastructure and ensure compliance with relevant standards.
Documentation : Create clear, comprehensive documentation for systems, processes, and incident reports to improve team collaboration and knowledge sharing.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Proven experience as a Site Reliability Engineer, DevOps Engineer, or in a similar role.
Strong experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
Proficiency in programming/scripting languages such as Python, Go, or Shell.
Hands-on experience with infrastructure automation tools like Terraform, Ansible, or Chef.
Expertise in monitoring, logging, and alerting tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, Datadog, etc.).
Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to resolve complex technical issues in high-pressure environments.
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
Knowledge of networking, databases, and storage systems.
Familiarity with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Site Reliability Engineering in high-traffic, large-scale environments.
Experience with microservices architecture.
Cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect).
Familiarity with infrastructure as code (IaC) practices.
Experience with distributed systems and high-availability architectures.
