Job Summary :
As a MERN Stack Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining full-stack web applications using MongoDB, Express.js, React.js, and Node.js. You will collaborate closely with product managers, UX/UI designers, and other developers to create responsive, scalable, and high-performing web applications. Your role will involve end-to-end development, from database design to user interface implementation, ensuring that applications are optimized for performance and reliability.
Key Responsibilities :
Design, develop, and maintain full-stack applications using the MERN stack (MongoDB, Express.js, React.js, Node.js).
Build dynamic, user-friendly, and responsive front-end interfaces using React.js and modern JavaScript (ES6+).
Implement backend services and APIs with Node.js and Express.js, ensuring seamless data interaction between the front-end and database.
Design and manage databases using MongoDB, ensuring efficient data storage, retrieval, and security.
Work closely with UX/UI designers to create visually appealing and intuitive user interfaces.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define application requirements, features, and functionalities.
Write reusable, testable, and efficient code that adheres to best practices and coding standards.
Optimize application performance, including both front-end and back-end, for fast loading times and smooth user experiences.
Implement authentication, authorization, and security protocols to ensure the safety of data and users.
Perform code reviews, troubleshooting, and debugging to ensure high-quality, bug-free code.
Stay up-to-date with the latest web development trends, tools, and best practices in the MERN stack.
Participate in Agile development processes, including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
Required Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
Minimum of 5 years of experience in web development, with strong expertise in the MERN stack (MongoDB, Express.js, React.js, Node.js).
Proficient in React.js and modern JavaScript (ES6+), with a strong understanding of React best practices and hooks.
Extensive experience in developing back-end services and APIs using Node.js and Express.js.
Strong knowledge of database design, optimization, and management using MongoDB.
Experience with version control systems, particularly Git.
Familiarity with front-end technologies such as HTML5, CSS3, and CSS frameworks (e.g., Bootstrap, Material UI).
Proficient in integrating third-party APIs and services with MERN-based applications.
Experience with authentication and authorization mechanisms (e.g., JWT, OAuth).
Strong understanding of asynchronous programming and event-driven architecture.
Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and performance optimization skills.
Experience with test-driven development (TDD) and using testing libraries (e.g., Jest, Mocha, Chai).
Solid understanding of Agile development methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and familiarity with tools like Jira and Trello.
Preferred Qualifications :
Experience with TypeScript or other JavaScript superset languages.
Knowledge of serverless architectures and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure).
Experience with containerization tools like Docker and CI/CD pipelines.
Familiarity with GraphQL and Apollo Client.
Experience with other front-end frameworks such as Angular or Vue.js.
Understanding of DevOps practices and tools for automating deployment and infrastructure management.
