Technical Knowledge : Demand Planning professional with end-to-end planning experience and front-end sales /marketing exposure of 8 year s Hands on experience in Advanced Planning Systems (APS)- Demand Planning modules e.g. SAP APO, IBP, BY, O9, Kinaxis, Anaplan et c Communication and collaborative skills to engage with Sales & Marketing, regions and Supply Planning Tea m Knowledge of data science, ML-algorithms, best-fit basis SKU behavio r Know-how of category / brand behavior in different zones – immediate & long term ; Full understanding of demand influencing factors (seasonality, weather, events, holidays etc. )Expertise in planning systems for Demand Planning like Advanced Planning Systems (APS); preferably has worked as a Demand Planner befor e Responsibilitie s: Statistical Modelling : Generate baseline forecast through best-fit statistical / ML-based forecasting models and share with zones as a reference inp ut Segment Growth/De-Growt h: Monitor segment growth/de- growth from various published industry report and overlay on consolidated regional demand inp uts New Product Launch Planni ng: Manage New Product Launch volumes in conjunction with Sales & Marketing Team Demand Review Process / Meet ing: Lead weekly Demand Review Meetings, including the review of MAPE/ Bias and work with sales to align on a realistic forecast nu mbers S&am p; OP: Play active role in the weekly / monthly S&OP process to develop an aligned demand plan. Gaps and opportunities are identified, quantified & add ressed Long Term Capacity Pla nning: Support capacity planning for long-term basis long term fore casting Cross Functional Relatio nships: Develop strong collaborative cross functional relat ionships Measure/Track Perf ormance: Measure, report, and innovate to drive improvement of demandplanning process and KPIs I nventory: Shared together with suppl y planners Supply chain f undamentals Supply chain strategy, segmentation, and leading practices: Aligning supply chain design(infrastructure, systems, resources, resilience, sustainability) & capabilities with the business strategy to meet market demands & customer r equirements Understanding of Product portfolio lifecycle management & complexity SC segmentation & service level diff erentiation E2 E supply cha in know how: Understanding of the role and interdependencies of the different SC disciplines Demand forecasting and planning: Creating a one number demand plan across the organization to forecast what customers want, how much , and by when S&OP b est practices: Structuring a formal process that is integrated with strategic& financial planning; balances demand plans and supply constrain ts proactively Understanding the scope of S&OP and how S&OPchanges as the maturity l evel increases Sales and Operations Execu tion(S&OE): Providing a bridge between the monthly S&OP consensus process & day-to-day operational planning, proactively addressing short term demand and su pply imbalances Plan reconciliation and optimization (e.g. De mand to supply): Can balance between demand and supply plans against market-leve l volume targets Anal ytical Competency Statist ical Forecasting: Understanding of statis tical data issues Understanding and use of statistical forec asting techniques Ability to build models incorporating sales data inputs , lost sales etc. Segment growth/de-growth: Ability to apply analytical skills across different segment s growth/de-growth Market analysis&amp ; customer insight Business intelligence to translate market intelligence into quanti tative demand plan Integrated scenario planning: Generate multi ple demand scenario Implement scenarios using appropriate an alytical techniques Presentation of complex analytical data and resu lts in a simple way Knowledge of visual presentation/data visua lization techniques: A means of representing information graphically, in a standardized format; highlights patterns and trends in data & helps the user derive i nsights more quickly Data manag ement and governance: Process established to define accountability for data, ensure data quality, and maintain data attributes along the master data lifecyc le Business Competency Cross -Functional Awareness: Knowledge of cross functio nal business processes Experience in Sales and Marketin g Supply chain pl anning Business Acumen: Understandi ng of consumer behavior Understanding of global trends a nd localization factors Understanding and integration of business g rowth into supply plans Decision maki ng& business impact: Ability to make & take responsibility for a robust, timely choice by gathering relevantdata, assessing the trade-offs Strong professional and interpersonal skills in working with senior management to i nterpret strategic g oals Technical Competency Systems capabilities/expertise with relevant a nalytical/planning tools: ML competency to model how demand influencers impact future forecast& model them through ML/Statalgos Knowledge of Advanced Planning Systems (APS) like Blue Yonder, Kinaxis De mand Planning module etc. Knowledge of AP APO-DP, MM , PP modules Data Handl ing Data Quality Management Knowledge of tools to increase productivity, manage complexity, an d improve forecast quality Systems capabilities and exp ertise with relevant tools Understanding of the i nteraction between syst ems Professional Competency Strate gic &creative thinking: Ability to focus on finding and developing unique supply chain opportunities to cr eate value for organization Identify innovative solutions to operational challenges ; challenges the status quo Root cause analysis, problem-solvi ng, and conflict resolution: Ability to define the problem, analyze& interpret data to determine the cause and prioritize, select& implement the best solution in a timely manner Business performance measurement (KPIs) & continuous improvement: Define, align, and report supply chain KPIs vs targets to course correct; drive the behavior& process changes needed to meet customer service l evels and business objectives Effective communic ation and presentation skills: Ability to communicate with stakeholders Building effectiv e partnerships within business
