Position: Proposal Engineer – Instrumentation & Control (I&C)Location: PuneExperience: 5–8 YearsQualification: B.E./B.Tech in Instrumentation / Electronics / Electrical Engineering (or equivalent)Role SummaryWe are hiring on behalf of our client in EPC Projects for a Proposal Engineer – Instrumentation & Control . The role focuses on preparing competitive technical and commercial proposals for I&C packages in Process Engineering EPC projects, ensuring compliance with client specifications, and coordinating with engineering, procurement, and vendors for accurate and timely submissions.Key ResponsibilitiesReview tender documents, client specifications, and project requirements for I&C scope.Prepare technical bid documents, compliance statements, and cost estimates.Develop BOQ, instrument index, and material take-offs based on P&IDs.Coordinate with vendors for technical clarifications and quotations.Evaluate vendor offers for instruments, control systems, and automation solutions.Ensure proposals are technically compliant, commercially viable, and aligned with execution strategy.Participate in client interactions, pre-bid meetings, and technical discussions.Stay updated with relevant standards (ISA, IEC, IS) and industry practices.Skills & CompetenciesStrong knowledge of Instrumentation & Control systems: PLC/DCS/SCADA, field instruments, analyzers, and control valves.Hands-on experience with datasheets, specifications, and instrument sizing.Familiarity with EPC workflows, proposal preparation, and costing.Excellent communication, coordination, and analytical skills.Proficiency in MS Office; knowledge of AutoCAD/SPI is an advantage.Preferred BackgroundExperience in EPC companies in Process, Chemical, Pharma, or Oil & Gas sectors .Prior exposure to client/consultant interactions for proposals.
