Order Book Quality & Market Microstructure Own the overall market quality metrics across all trading pairs (spot, derivatives, and web3) Conduct post-trade analysis to identify patterns in liquidity provision and consumption Build simulation frameworks to test market quality under various stress scenarios Create hedging strategies to manage inventory risk and delta exposure Continuously optimize strategy parameters using machine learning and adaptive algorithms Monitor strategy P&L, Sharpe ratios, and risk metrics in real-time Develop risk management frameworks to control position limits and exposure API performance standards (latency, throughput, reliability) Identify and eliminate bottlenecks in order processing, market data dissemination, and execution Design and review system architecture for data feeds, order management, and risk controls Establish monitoring and alerting systems for infrastructure performance Evaluate and integrate new data sources (on-chain data, sentiment analysis, order flow analytics) Build proprietary quantitative models for price prediction, volatility forecasting, and risk assessment PhD, Master's, or Bachelor's degree in Quantitative Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Physics, or related field from a premier institution (IIT, IISc, BITS, or equivalent) Strong academic record with demonstrated excellence in quantitative subjects Experience ~8-12 years of experience in quantitative trading, algorithmic trading, or market making ~ At least 3-5 years of experience in markets with deep understanding of spot and derivatives trading ~ Proven track record of developing, monitoring and deploying profitable trading strategies ~ Experience building or working closely with low-latency trading systems ~ Prior experience managing order book quality or working at an exchange preferred Programming: Expert-level proficiency in Python, C++, or Rust; Advanced statistics, time series analysis, stochastic calculus, optimization theory Machine Learning: Experience with ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch) for predictive modeling Data Analysis: Strong command of pandas, numpy, scipy, and data visualization tools Hands-on experience with trading APIs, order management systems, and market data infrastructure Blockchain/Web3: Understanding of DeFi protocols, smart contracts, and on-chain analytics Databases: Proficiency with time-series databases (InfluxDB, TimescaleDB) and SQL Understanding of risk management principles and position sizing methodologies Awareness of Indian crypto regulations and compliance requirements Prior experience at a top-tier quantitative trading firm, hedge fund, or crypto exchange Published research in quantitative finance or related fields Experience leading quantitative research or trading teams Contributions to open-source projects in algorithmic trading or market analysis Strong understanding of traditional financial markets (equities, FX, commodities) Experience with options pricing and derivatives modeling Technical Excellence: Ability to bridge quantitative research and engineering implementation Strategic Thinking: Can balance short-term tactical improvements with long-term strategic goals Takes full accountability for market quality and strategy performance Access to cutting-edge trading infrastructure and real-time market data Competitive compensation with performance-based incentives tied to strategy P&L Professional development and conference attendance opportunities This role works closely with Engineering, Product, Risk, and Business Development teams.
