From Insurance Background
Exp - 15+ years
Experience of Insurance accounting for Life Insurance, including requirements of UK GAAP and IFRS
Understanding of the cash flows for life insuranceand asset management products
Expert level knowledge of financial systemuse and application, and the ability to challenge viewpoints and provide recommendations for improvements
Expert knowledge and experience of Reconciliations,including resolution of outstanding items, controls and oversight over the entire Reconciliations work to ensure balances reported in the financial statements are complete and, Ledger Close, Accounts Payable, Banking, Investment Cost oversight.
Detailed knowledge of financial servicesregulatory and legislative frameworks, particularly for life insurance and asset management
Significant experience in managing both run and change programsin a global set up (e.g. migration to new reconciliation tools, transformation, outsourcing / offshoring)
Experience of managing third party relationships (oversight of outsourced activities)
