Position Overview
We are looking for educators with a passion for sales to join our team as Academic Counsellors. This role leverages your strengths as an educator—your ability to understand curriculum, student needs, and parent expectations—to drive enrollments and build lasting relationships.
As an Academic Counsellor, you’ll play a pivotal role in helping parents and students discover tailored learning solutions, using your background in education to highlight the unique value Mentor Match provides.
Key Responsibilities
Engagement and Consultation
Call potential leads to understand their child's academic needs, present personalized tutoring solutions, and demonstrate how our platform can help achieve their educational goals.
Connect with parents to understand their child's academic needs and recommend personalized tutoring solutions.
Use your educational expertise to explain curriculum support, progress tracking, and the benefits of 1-on-1 sessions.
Driving Enrollments
Convert trial classes and inquiries into paid enrollments by demonstrating the value of our platform.
Build trust with parents, ensuring they feel confident in Mentor Match’s ability to support their child’s learning goals.
Upselling and Cross-Selling
Identify opportunities to offer additional services and programs, enhancing the learning experience.
Collaboration and Reporting
Work closely with customer success teams and tutors to ensure smooth onboarding for students.
Maintain detailed records of leads, conversations, and outcomes, meeting or exceeding sales targets.
Qualifications
Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Education, Business, or related fields.
3+ years of teaching experience (IGCSE, GCSE, IB, or CCS curricula preferred).
Strong communication skills and a proven ability to build relationships with parents and guardians.
Interest in transitioning to sales with a passion for helping students succeed.
Tech-savvy with familiarity in CRM tools and online platforms.
