Telecom Support Specialist

  • The position involves extensive collaboration with global vendors and carriers to guarantee seamless operations of voice/telecom networks. This includes troubleshooting VoIP services, managing network entities such as routers, switches, and soft switches.
  • Key responsibilities include providing end-to-end support for telecom services from ticket creation to resolution, ensuring SLA adherence and timely updates to customers and vendors.
  • Manage and troubleshoot hosted PBX, SIP trunking, PRI, toll-free services, long distance, and audio conferencing. Diagnose VoIP call issues including ASR, ACD, PDD, dead air, DTMF, codec mismatches, one-way audio, DID, and toll-free services.
  • Perform proactive monitoring on Dialogic NGN, Sansay, Acme/Oracle SBCs, Cisco ONS, and other telecom hardware. Conduct head-to-head testing on transport layers and collaborate with vendors on T1/T3 circuits.
  • Investigate and resolve fraud-related cases by analyzing SIP/SS7 traces, CDRs, switch logs, and provide escalation support. Troubleshoot VoIP features including answering rules, music on hold, calling card services, and work in a 24/7 rotational environment.
  • Ensure minimal service disruption and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction through effective communication and timely issue resolution.
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams to identify and implement process improvements that enhance the overall quality of service.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and advancements in telecom technology to provide expert-level support and guidance to customers and vendors.
