Job Description

As Head of Design, India, you'll be leading a growing team of 450+ designers across five studios in India, responsible for delivering best-in-class design outcomes for clients globally.

WongDoody is a global creative and technology agency that brings together various agency acquisitions and experience design teams under one brand. We create digital products, services, platforms, marketing campaigns, and immersive experiences for the world's largest organizations.

The ideal candidate for this role is a true design practitioner who can guide the planning of design thinking workshops, inform user research or service design challenges, structure CX Centers of Excellence, and set up design systems regardless of region.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the scale of the design operation from India, driving design quality, craft, and practice.
  • Evolving our service offering and value propositions to clients, developing new models for agile engagements.
  • Provide strategic design thought leadership to the organization, publishing and speaking at internal and external events.
  • Guide and direct strategy, approach, and concept creation for proposals, defining storylines for pitches and presentations.
Qualifications
  • 15+ years of relevant industry experience, 7+ years leadership/management experience of teams of 50+ designers.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience with driving user-centered design processes, cross-functional teams, and mastering product design, service design, and user research.
  • References from clients, team, and peers about achieved outcomes and leadership style.
