MEP Design Specialist

  • We are seeking a highly skilled MEP design professional with 4 to 5 years of experience to join our in-house team.
  • The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing detailed MEP drawings and Bill of Quantities (BOQ) using Autodesk software.

Making accurate MEP layout drawings is crucial. This involves developing drawings using Revit for various systems such as HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire-fighting, and low-voltage systems.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Accurate MEP Drawing Creation: Utilize Revit to create precise drawings that meet industry standards.
  • Collaboration and Clash Detection: Work closely with architectural and structural teams to ensure seamless coordination.
  • BOQs and Technical Documentation: Create detailed BOQs aligned with design and execution requirements.
  • Tendering Support: Assist in tendering processes by providing technical documentation.

You will also be responsible for:

  • Model Revisions and Updates: Respond to feedback and site conditions by revising models and drawings.
  • Regular Coordination Meetings: Conduct meetings with vendors and consultants to ensure design intent is maintained during execution.
  • Quantity Take-Offs and Procurement Support: Perform quantity take-offs and support procurement processes by providing detailed schedules.
  • Site Inspections: Conduct site inspections if required for design validation and MEP checks.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's/Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or related engineering fields.
  • 4–5 years of relevant hands-on experience with Revit MEP in commercial/office space projects.
  • Proficiency in Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, and Navisworks for BIM coordination.
  • Strong understanding of HVAC, electrical distribution, and plumbing systems.
  • Experience preparing BOQs and technical documentation for tendering.
  • Excellent understanding of building services codes and industry standards.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
