Messaging System Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Messaging System Specialist to join our team. This role is responsible for the deployment, monitoring, troubleshooting, automation and maintenance of critical Distributed MQ Infrastructure.

  • The successful candidate will lead complex initiatives and issues within the Messaging functional technical area as well as cross-functional areas.
  • They will provide technical consulting on the use & integration of the MQ system utilities, tools, and applications.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to work with a multidisciplinary delivery team to deliver high-quality solutions and services.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Deploy, upgrade and manage infrastructures for the MQ environment.
  • Provide technical guidance on the setup, configuration, performance tuning, deployment and upgrades of IBM MQ environments.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong background in administering and architecture of IBM MQ environments, including deployment, upgrades, configurations, setup, performance tuning.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
  • 8+ years administering and architecture of IBM MQ environments, including deployment, upgrades, configurations, setup, performance tuning.
  • Strong MQ troubleshooting skills are a must with the ability to drive to root cause.
Desirable Qualifications:
  • Experience with disaster recovery planning and implementation
  • Certifications AWS, Azure, or GCP
  • Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes
