Event-Driven Messaging Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Event-Driven Messaging Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing messaging systems, providing technical support, and managing infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform engineering, configuration, and administration activities for messaging systems
  • Work as part of the Engineering team and have willingness to learn & support multiple technologies
  • Architect and deploy messaging infrastructure using event-driven strategies across cloud environments
  • Define and implement event-driven strategies, leveraging features like topic hierarchies, dynamic routing, and advanced routing
  • Configure messaging components such as brokers, queues, topics, and client connections for optimal performance
  • Ensure robust security, access control, and monitoring of messaging environments
  • Collaborate with development teams to integrate messaging with microservices, APIs, and external platforms (Kafka, JMS, MQTT, etc.)
  • Troubleshoot complex messaging issues including latency, throughput, and durability concerns
  • Automate setup and monitoring processes using tools like Terraform, Ansible etc.
  • Advise on best practices for event modeling, governance, and topic taxonomy
  • Support enablement activities such as training and knowledge transfer for internal teams
  • Provide level 3 support including incident resolution and root cause analysis

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in software engineering
  • 1-2 years of experience in messaging technologies
  • Strong knowledge of scripting using Korn Shell Scripts, Perl etc.
  • Platform RedHat Linux
  • AWS certifications on DevOps / SysOps / Architect track preferred
